SUPPORTING VERITAS ACADEMY
The Lord has been faithful in providing for Veritas Academy since the start of the school and throughout our continued growth. We are grateful to all those who have made donations of valuable time, prayer and financial gifts. These generous contributions have enabled us to develop a wide variety of programs. As we continue to move forward, we ask that you prayerfully consider ways to commit to supporting Veritas Academy as led. Below are areas in need of such support.
Fine Arts
Financial gifts made to the Fine Arts Department will be utilized to continue the development of our program to provide our students the best quality experience in the visual arts and performing arts. Our needs include technology (e.g., sound and light equipment for performances), costumes, props and sets, band instruments, and visual art supplies needed to grow an Advanced Placement (AP) art program.
Athletics
Veritas Academy currently has athletic teams competing in football, volleyball, track, basketball and soccer throughout the school year. Participation in athletics allows our students to be driven goal-setters and understand the value of good sportsmanship on and off the field. Financial gifts towards athletics will be used primarily for sports equipment.
Science and Technology
Veritas is determined to maintain a classical education, rich in reading, conversation and reflection. Though this form of education can be stifled by technology, we cannot deny that technology can enhance learning if used effectively. Financial gifts made to science and technology this year will go toward the purchase of projectors and visual presenters for our classrooms and toward the purchase of high-tech science equipment needed for Advanced Placement (AP) science labs for our upper school.
Class Trips
Beginning in 5th Grade, Veritas sponsors annual class trips with students traveling further from home for longer periods of time as they get older. This year’s trips include destinations such as the Texas Hill Country, Houston, Waco, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Colorado and Washington, D.C. Financial gifts donated toward class trips will reduce the cost for all students and enable many to participate who might not be able to otherwise.
Transportation
As our involvement in sporting events, speech tournaments and fine arts competitions increases, so does our need for a bus for transporting the students and sponsors. Your financial gift for a bus will help us accomplish this goal.
Land & Building
We have been prayerfully trusting that God will provide for us an opportunity to acquire or build a permanent facility that reunites our school on one campus. Your financial contributions to our Land & Building Fund go directly towards the purchase and development of our future campus.
